Peacemaking Through Advocacy

What: Workshop on Peacemaking through Advocacy

When: Saturday October 1, 2016, 10:00am – 1:00pm

Where: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 353 East Pine Street, Wooster, Ohio 44691

You are invited to join The Presbytery of Muskingum Valley, First and Westminster Presbyterian Churches in Wooster, Ohio for a workshop on peacemaking through advocacy on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Westminster Presbyterian Church from 10:00am until 1:00pm with lunch included, free of charge.

As Christians around the world celebrate World Communion Sunday on October 2, we are reminded of our oneness in Christ with all our siblings around the world and of our responsibility to care for one another.  In many of our local and global communities the need far exceeds the churches’ ability to provide.  It is in times like this that the church is called to follow the Biblical imperative to reform the societal context and conditions in order to more fairly correct structures that unfairly disadvantage certain communities and put nature and people at risk.

Join us for this workshop on advocacy to gain skill in bringing about societal changes through the Presbyterian Church (USA) as we learn from The Rev. Mark Koenig and Presbyterian Peacemaker guest from Palestine, Areej Masoud.
