Many in our congregation supported the Sanctuary Movement in the 1980s, when faith communities, universities, and other organizations rallied to advocate on behalf of thousands of refugees fleeing persecution in Central America. BorderLinks grew out of the Sanctuary Movement, and Westminster has sent delegates to BorderLinks since the earliest years of the organization. Our BorderLinks experience has led to our focus on immigration advocacy.

The Westminster Presbyterian Church BorderLinks Peace Initiative works for justice for immigrants through support of immigration reform, education, and advocacy at both national and local levels. Our church peace initiative encourages members to think nationally and work locally in support of immigration advocacy.

Westminster accepts electronic donations through the Presbyterian Mission Exchange

  • Apr 26 Central American Medical Outreach Volunteer Day
    Join Westminster the last Wednesday of each month as we travel to the Central American Medical Outreach (CAMO) warehouse in Orrville to sort and pack hospital laundry to send to Honduras.

    Many of our choir membership see their participation in choir as stewardship of their talents and time and find friendship and fellowship among choir members.
  • Apr 26 Student-Led Bible Study
    We are dedicated and welcoming people who are willing to discuss controversial topics in a respectful manner and come to an understanding of different beliefs.
