You are invited to become part of the 2017-2018 Westminster Women's Bible Study, which meets the second Tuesday of each month, September-June, at 10 a.m. From September-May, we meet in the Church Lounge. In June, we usually meet for brunch at someone's home. This year's nine-lesson theme is "Cloud of Witnesses: The Community of Christ in Hebrews," prepared by the Presbyterian Women in the PC(USA). Westminster Women's Bible Study is an opportunity to focus on our spiritual journeys, share our thoughts and questions about the monthly lessons, and get to know one another more meaningfully.
According to a description of this year's Study: "The Letter to the Hebrews is a significant book of the Bible, and is also significantly different from every other book in the Bible. It consists of thirteen chapters, all of which are packed with theology, metaphor, comparisons, and spirituality." The author, Melissa Bane Sevier, explores nine major themes, approaching the letter thematically, not sequentially. Click here for a more complete description of this year's study.
Each month, Westminster Women's Bible Study participants also are invited to share lunch following class, usually at TJ's, to continue to strengthen the wonderful relationships that emerge from this study group.
