The stance of the Presbyterian Church (USA) on issues relating to Israel/Palestine?

Workshop sponsored by Westminster Presbyterian Church


The workshop will consist of three panelists:

• The Rev. W. Mark Koenig serves as the director of the Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations. The ministry works to inspire and equip Presbyterians for global discipleship following Jesus and to advocate for peace and justice in the United Nations community, guided by policies of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

• Professor Nahida Halaby Gordon, Elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church, moderator of the National Middle East Presbyterian Caucus, officer and member of the Steering Committee of the PCUSA’s Israel/Palestine Mission network, and president of the Interfaith Council for Middle East Peace, is a Palestinian-American who believes reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians is possible.

• Professor Michael Greenberg was born and raised in Cleveland. Made 'aliyah' to Israel in 1984 through Israeli 'law of return'. Lived in Israel through 1993 where he received a PhD in molecular biology. He has been living back in Cleveland since 2001. His last visit to Israel in 2008.


The workshop will be a presentation from each of the panelists followed by refreshments and questions and answers from the audience.

When: Saturday October 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
