Worship

Sunday, September 18, 2016 - 10:45am

Address:
Westminster Presbyterian Church, Mackey Hall
353 East Pine Street
Wooster, OH 44691

Presented By: Andries Coetzee

As we welcome College of Wooster students and their families for Black and Gold weekend, we observe  International Day of Peace,  joining churches around the world in prayer and reflection on peace.  September 21 is the International Day of Peace established by the United Nations in 1981.  “Peace Day” is an opportunity for everyone to promote peace personally, politically, and communally.

We invite you to join us in worship that promises to be warm, welcoming, and accepting.  At Westminster we give voice to a progressive Christianity drawing from our Presbyterian heritage and strive to create a safe place for all people to explore their faith, regardless of ethnicity, creed, age, cultural background, or sexual identity. We seek to give authentic expression to our faith as it relates to our daily lives and contemporary culture.  Our worship is made relevant through sermons, prayers, music, readings (biblical, ancient and contemporary), guest speakers, and participation from the congregation.  In our desire to be welcoming and inclusive we have an all gender restroom that is handicap accessible on the same level as our worship space.
