#WayneCountyFairForAll Booth Training

Thursday, September 7, 2017 - 6:00pm

For many in our community, the appearance of KKK flyers and recruiting poster in Wooster was a realization that our community is no exception when it comes to white supremacy and the presence of hate groups. Since 2015, after the Charleston church shooting, the Wooster/Orrville NAACP has petitioned the Wayne County Fair Board to prohibit the display and sale of the Confederate Flag to no avail. This year our efforts continue, and you can be a meaningful part of this movement by signing up to volunteer at our booth here.

To help make this a positive experience for all, and uphold our core principles of a peaceful nonviolent movement, you are also invited to attend our training session in Mackey Hall on Thursday night, September 7th from 6 - 7 pm, and if you have time, a session on how to de-escalate violence will be held from 7 - 8:30 pm. Pizza will be provided.
